Max H. Shnyder II

June 20, 1956 - July 25. 2005

Max H. Shnyder II, 49, a resident of 146 Old Orchard Road, Milton, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 25, 2005. Born in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming County, PA, on Wednesday, June 20, 1956, he was the son of Max H. and Mary Joann (Pentz) Shnyder of Montgomery, PA.
    He was the husband of Susan (Roseke) Shnyder with whom he celebrated a 29th wedding anniversary on May 23, 2005.
    Max was a 1974 graduate of Montgomery High School and a 1978 graduate of Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE where he received a degree in Physical Education. He was the assistant procurement manager at Excel Homes, Liverpool, PA.
    Max was a member of District 4 Wrestling Officials and was official of the year from 1995 to 2003. He was a football and softball coach and had touched many young athletes lives. He enjoyed all sports, especially hunting, fishing, boating and riding motorcycles.
    In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by 3 daughters, Jennifer Shnyder, Staunton, VA; Jessica Shnyder, Pleasant Gap, PA; Jillian Shnyder, at home; three sisters, Shonny (David) Walter, Millmont, PA; Machiel (Angelo) Marino, Hollidaysburg, PA; Bobbie Repaci, West Milton, PA and one brother, Richard (Heather) Shnyder, Montgomery, PA. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be conducted from the St. John Lutheran "Brick" Church, 196 Brick Church Road, Montgomery, PA at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 30, 2005 with Rev. Scott W. Baker, church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Elimsport Cemetery, Washington Twp., Lycoming County, PA. Friends may call on Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 40 E. Houston Avenue, Montgomery, PA. The family will provide the flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the The District 4 Max Shnyder Wrestling Scholarship, 70 Warren Street, Montgomery, PA 17752.
